2.5. Uses the seatbelt correctly?
2.6. Keeps body parts within the confines of the vehicle?
2.7. Operator looks in the direction of travel?
2.8. Correct use of the horn when appropriate?
2.9. Follows the correct procedures for an “unattended” vehicle?
Steering & Operating Controls
3.1. Starts and stops smoothly?
3.2. Releases the parking brake prior to moving off?
3.3. Operates the hydraulic controls when the lift truck is in motion?
3.4. Rough use of hydraulic controls?
3.5. Operates and understands the controls?
3.6. Operating in reverse, looking in the direction of travel to the correct ratio?
3.7. Operates at a speed consistent with the type of load and working conditions?
3.8. Operator applies the park brake when operating the hydraulics?
3.9. Operator applies neutral when operating the hydraulics?
3.10. Fork arms central under the load?
